“Brother You told ’em.”

Too often we go to church and hear an inspiring and anointed Word from God but walk out of the church and say to the Pastor, “You really told ’em today.” This was the case with one member of a church who was present and on time for every church service, without fail. Week after week after the service, he would acknowledge the message and say to the pastor, “You really told ’em today;” never thinking the sermon applied to his life. One Sunday after hearing a fiery sermon by the pastor, Brother “I told ’em” said to the pastor, “The church should have been full today, because you really preached. Yes, “You told ’em the truth today!” During the heart of winter, a snow storm dumped several feet of snow on the ground, but Brother “You told ’em” was the only member present, so the pastor preached hard and delivered an anointed Word from God. As they were leaving the service, Brother “You told ’em” said to the pastor, “Had they been here today, you really would have told ’em.” Let me encourage you to stay humble and not only listen to the sermon  but hear it – every now and then, the Word of God should find the street on which you live. “Hear what the Spirit says to the church.”

Be blessed.
